Nutrition & Advanced Nutrient Therapy - natural help for anxiety, depression, stress, mood & emotional wellbeing

There is a complex interaction between what we eat, how we eat and when we eat - and how this impacts our biochemistry. Our biochemistry is responsible for the development and function of all our cells and organs - bodily and brain - including the mind and our emotional wellbeing.

Our thoughts, feelings and behaviour are all affected by, and in turn, affect biochemical processes. They also influence our appetite, sleep patterns, metabolism and energy levels. Disruptions in these pathways relate to stress, anxiety, depression, psychosis, mood swings, cravings and addiction.

Problems with mental and emotional health are almost always associated with an imbalance of neurotransmitters, hormones, gut bacteria and vital micronutrients - vitamins, minerals and amino acids. Most commonly this is seen in people with stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, trauma, fatigue, aggression, irritabiility and mood swings. Importantly, this underlying issue can often be addressed easily and naturally.

Restored balance and optimal health can be achieved by identifying and correcting biochemical and nutritional imbalances and deficiencies of already naturally occuring elements via micronutrients; vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

As a complimentary approach I offer information and guidance on how nutrition relates to psychological and emotional health. This includes reviewing your current eating habits and suggestions for dietary, lifestyle and nutrient adaptions to support emotional health and psychological wellbeing. This kind of input may be helpful to people seeking psychological therapy or additional information on how their diets may contribute to stress or mental health concerns.

A comprehensive test can reveal deficiencies and imbalances that specifically relate to mental health conditions. Psychonutrition and supplementation (otherwise known as micronutrition or nutrient therapy) can then be tailored along with supportive lifestyle adaptions to support and restore individual optimal health.
